The single most important audio setting that most performers do not know for their Zoom virtual shows

There are many different video conferencing softwares and live streaming platforms that performers like you and I can perform our virtual shows on. Undoubtedly, Zoom is one of the most popular platforms for hosting virtual events. While I have performed my Virtual Digital Magic Show 2020 using all sorts of softwares and platforms, I am going to share with you the single most important audio setting that most performers do not know for their Zoom virtual shows.

What is it?

It is the “Original Sound” setting.

Without going too much technical details of this setting, turning on “Original Sound” is going to help improve your audio, especially if you are using a sound card to feed your music to Zoom. Do you receive feedback that your music is intermittent when your music has a lot of bass or top notes? This setting is going to fix that.

How to turn it on?

1st step – go to advanced audio setting

2nd step – check the box “Show in-meeting option to “Enable Original Sound” from microphone”

By the way, I also disable “Suppress Persistent Background Noise” & “Suppress Intermittent Background Noise” to get the best audio quality possible. Their audio processing will affect the quality of the audio in some way.

3rd step – turn it on

There you have it. You should have a better audio quality with the setting turned on. I have observed that many virtual magic shows do not have music or their music quality is extremely aweful. Music is very important for my Virtual Digital Magic Show 2020 as I believe a show without music is like a movie without music. It is dead and the atmosphere is not the best it could be. Therefore, I have discovered this setting and I hope it will help you tremendously.

Stay tuned for more insights on virtual shows.
